The architect for the Park Avenue Hotel is Nobutaka Ashihara Architects, an architecture firm offering design, planning and development consultation services in the United States and abroad. Created in 1978 by founder Nobutaka Ashihara, the firm boasts an impressive portfolio ranging from high-profile hotel projects in global metropolitan cities such as New York City, Macau, Philadelphia and Memphis; to residential, office, industrial and educational facilities, located primarily in New York, where the firm has established its headquarters.

The founder and head of the firm, Nobutaka Ashihara, earned his Master's degree in Architecture from Harvard University's Graduate school of Design, a degree that was preceded by a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Hosei University Technical College. In addition to serving as the lead architect at his firm, Mr. Ashihara also actively participates in the academic realm of design. He has participated as a guest lecturer, panel critic and faculty member at several prominent institutions, including Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, the New York Institute of Technology, the University of Tokyo, Hosei University, Nova Scotia Technical College and The Japan Society, N.Y.C.
